Ronald McDonald House Charities

Our Mission Team has planned a church-wide event for Sunday, November 18, 2018.  Following Worship, lunch will be provided. Then: We will be packing Activity Packets for the Richmond Ronald McDonald House. These fun packets are used with the families who reside in the House while their child or children are having extended hospital stays.  150 packets are used weekly. We changed our goal to 250 packets for this event.  A display is on the table outside the sanctuary.  What a wonderful opportunity for our Church family to be involved in a great Mission project that is needed here in Richmond.

Each packet cost $8-10 depending on the contents.  All items must fit into a gallon size Zip-Loc bag.  If you would like to sponsor a bag or 2 or more, please make your check payable to HUMC and  note “mission packets” in the memo section.  If you wish to contribute items for the bags you may do that.  There will be a collection container in the hallway outside of the Fellowship Hall.  You may choose from the following:  Activity/coloring books, small sticker books, crayons (4-8 count), washable markers, modeling clay or small tubs of Play Dough, Play Dough stamps, sticker sheets.  All of these items are available from The Dollar Tree, The Dollar Store, Dollar General, etc. Thank you for supporting this needed home mission project!
